Srinagar, Sept 30: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) today categorically denied rumors of an attack on its leader, Er Rashid, and his caravan by Noor Ul Shahbaz, a close associate.

“No assault or attack occurred,” said Inam Un Nabi, AIP Chief Spokesperson. “Noor Ul Shahbaz had arranged a warm welcome for Er Rashid in his area.”

According to AIP, the windshield of Noor Ul Shahbaz’s family car was broken in the excitement, but this was not an attack.

“Noor Ul Shahbaz’s actions were driven by love and dedication for Er Rashid, not violence,” Nabi clarified.

AIP urged people to ignore “baseless propaganda” and focus on real issues affecting Jammu & Kashmir. (DSN)
