Assembly Elections-2024 Phase-II: J&K records 10.22 % voter turnout till 9 am

 

 

Srinagar records 4.70% till 9 am

 

Srinagar, 18 Sep : The second phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections recorded an 10.22% voter turnout by 9am, official said.

 

“All the 26 assembly constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir have recorded 10.22 percent voter turnout till 9am in the second phase of Assembly Elections in the Union Territory”, communicated the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K as per news agency Kashmir Bulletin

 

As per official district wise data available with KB reads that, Ganderbal recorded 12.61% voter turnout, Srinagar 4.70%, Budgam 10.91%, Reasi 13.37%, Rajouri 12.71% and Poonch recorded 14.41% voter turnout till 9am.

 

The 2nd phase of General Elections to J&K Legislative Assembly is on going in 26 Assembly Constituencies (ACs) across six districts of Jammu & Kashmir.

 

In this phase, 25,78,099 lakh voters are eligible to cast their ballot, comprising 13,12,730 lakh male voters, 12,65,316 lakh female voters and 53 third-gender voters. This phase will determine the fate of 239 candidates.

 

The respective District Administrations have made elaborative arrangements at all the polling stations for free, fair and transparent elections. (KB)
