Arif, Aijaz, Zahid Get BJP Tickets from Kashmir
SRINAGAR The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its list of six candidates for the assembly segments going to polls in the second phase of elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Among the candidates, Arif Raja, a former Corporator in Srinagar Municipal Corporation and Chairman of the Sanitation Committee, has been named as the candidate from the Eidgah seat. Er Aijaz Hussain, a District Development Council (DDC) member from Khomuh, will contest from the crucial Lal Chowk seat. Zahid Hussain will be party’s candidate from Chrar-e-Sharief.
BJP J&K unit president Ravinder Raina has been given the mandate to contest from the Nowshehra seat. The other candidates include Ali Muhammad Mir for the Kahnsahib seat, and Vibodh Gupta for Rajouri (ST). (KDC)
