CM Omar Abdullah visits Sonamarg reviews arrangements for PM’s Visit, Says, Z-Morh Tunnel to Open Sonmarg for Year-Round Tourism

Srinagar, Jan 11 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on saturday said that the inauguration of the Z-Morh Tunnel will open Sonmarg to year-round tourism, develop it as a ski resort, and benefit the local population.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, Omar wrote, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in a post on X as per news agency JKNS wrote, Visited Sonmarg today to review preparations for PM @narendramodi ji’s visit on Monday. The inauguration of the Z-morh tunnel will open Sonmarg to tourism all year round, Sonmarg will now be developed as a great ski resort. The local population will not have to leave in winter & the travel time to Kargil/Leh from Srinagar will also reduce.
