Srinagar, 25 Dec: Jammu and Kashmir remained griped in chilled nights while Srinagar shivers at minus 7.3°C.
The Kashmir region witnessed freezing temperatures today, with Pulwama and Shopian recording the lowest at -9.1°C. Srinagar experienced a bone-chilling -7.3°C, while Qazigund and Kupwara saw lows of -6.6°C and -6.4°C, respectively. Kokernag recorded -5.4°C, and Sonamarg plunged to -7.5°C. Bandipora reported -7.2°C, Baramulla -6.1°C, and Budgam reached -7.8°C. Ganderbal recorded -6.9°C, Khudwani -7.7°C, Kulgam -6.3°C, and Larnoo -8.6°C. Data for Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Zojila was not available.
In the Jammu region, the minimum temperature varied significantly, with Padder experiencing a freezing -9.5°C. Banihal recorded -1.3°C, while Kishtwar reported 0.5°C. Batote stood at 0.7°C, and Poonch and Rajouri registered 2.9°C and 2.2°C, respectively. Reasi and Udhampur reported 3.9°C and 2.3°C, while Jammu city recorded 7.1°C.
