Woman, Her Mother Allegedly Assaulted by Shopkeeper in Nowhatta Sgr; Police File Case

Srinagar, Nov 11: Srinagar police have registered an FIR after a woman and her mother were allegedly assaulted by a shopkeeper in the Nowhatta area this evening.
According to reports, Bisma Mir, identified as a spokesperson for the JKPC, filed a written complaint at Nowhatta Police Station, claiming that she and her mother were verbally abused and assaulted by a shopkeeper in Nowhatta.
The incident left Bisma Mir’s mother with minor injuries.
Police have registered a case under FIR No. 51/2024, citing relevant sections of the law, and have initiated an investigation.
A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
